In August we had my mom's sister and my cousin (Anna) visit us for a few days. The kids and I met them in Carp for a beach day. Anna, knowing that Emily and her cousin Max would love a game, set up a treasure hunt. She drew a "kid-friendly" map (as you see) and buried chocolate and gold coins for them to find under the "X marks the spot".
July: Emily's first trip to the Disney store. The piano is what she picked out in anticipation of Jeff and I taking her to Disneyland. (In May, she filled a good-behavior chart with 30 stickers with the final reward being Disneyland, and we asked her to wait until the fall to go to Disneyland).
July: Emily's first dentist appointment--x-rays included!
