The Finish Line
For several months I have been tossing around the idea to participate in our local city's marathon with a friend (well, at least part of it)...options include, Full, Half, or 5K.
After some time went by and no final commitment on my part or my friend's, I mentioned it to Jeff. After discussing it further, he was interested in participating (not necessarily with me), so I signed us both up for the 5K.
The race was early this morning. My folks helped out by being at our house by 6:30 so we could go get parking and get to the Starting Line. Mom and dad then took the kids out to cheer us on--it was so much fun! Both Jeff and I agreed that this would be something that we participate in years to come. Emily was so excited when she heard what we were doing, she in insisting she will be ready next year to join us--we'll see.
