My dad called last week while he was stationed on a "movie job" in Griffith Park and asked if we (the kids & me) would all go down together for a train & pony ride.
We had a great time! We arrived at Travel Town and road the train together then drown further down the park to find the pony rides. Emily had ridden a pony before on one of those merry-go-round hook-ups, but this was a strap 'em on and away they go type of set up. I was not allowed in the arena. Emily walked right in, and Nate was taken from my arms. They buckled them both on separate horses and as if the horses were on "auto pilot" they turned and walked twice around the track and came back to the stalls. It was so fun to see Nathan's reaction and Emily's frustration that her pony was being held-up by another right in front of her.
We had a great day together. Thanks Dad! (PaPa)
