November was fast and full of excitement for the upcoming holidays! This year we did not travel over the Thanksgiving weekend. This was the first time in at least the last 25 yrs that I can remember that we stayed home. It was lovely. Because we stayed home we were able to rest, prepare a dinner ourselves (that we enjoyed with Jeff's folks before they left for Scotland the next day), put our Christmas decorations out and up, and do some more resting. It was really enjoyable. The kids also liked the time that we had with them.

December was also a continued time of full plates and empty calories. I have to admit, we were a part of the hustle and bustle majority this year. I rushed our Christmas photo out and busily went here and there when I could to get all our Christmas shopping finished. The week before Christmas, Jeff threw me a 30th birthday party here at the house which included some very good friends. I enjoyed the catered and game fill event. Thank you love.

Then came the week before Christmas and that was filled with more special lunches, teas, and desserts from good friends. Our nephew (Jeff's sister's son, Matthew) came to stay with us for the week which was ended up so helpful to me, because he and Emily became fast friends. She loves him so much and prays for him often. During that week we also planned and prepared for a "Christmas Eve Afternoon" for Jeff's side of the family. We had 35+ people here (adults were out numbered 2-1 by kids under 8 yrs. phew!) We enjoyed a "bouncy" and the 78 degree weather that we had, and I know Grandma B enjoyed having most of here family together.
